Yeah, you can. I think it's a good way to start, and it was definitely worth the 40 bucks for the CD's.
You can also send him a CD with a song on it that you want to learn, and he'll send you back an audio lesson of that song. He'll break it all down for you, Chords, fingering, frets, and everything else. The easier the guitar parts, the cheaper the lesson is, though. I think he charges an average of about 40 bucks per song...so you can imagine that could add up pretty quickly. But again, I think the first general guitar lesson is worth the cash...and it's on 4 discs.
