Just wanted to introduce myself. I am new to the list. I have been a typpe 1 diabetic for over 60 years-diagnosed in 1944. I have been awarded a 50 plus medal from the Joslin Clinic in Boston and have been asked to participate in a study the Clinic is doing on long term diaetics. I became bline 27 years ago and have raised 2 children. I am retired from work. I teach diabetic eduction at the Braille Institute in L.A.
I use an insulin pump and have a guide dog-my 3rd-from Guide Dogs of america in Sylmar, CA.
Hope to meet of new people on this list. I belong to 3 other diabetic lists-2 for the blind and one for everyone.
