This was - and still is - a danger area for our toddler! We try to keep most doors closed. Those we want open, we have been able to strap open using canvas straps we bought at REI (here is a link -->http://www.rei.com - search "Webbing Strap with Buckle" but any camping store should have these). These kinds of straps have helped a lot in this regard.
