Thinking of getting dog

I used to be able to see... so I can't figure out the part of relieving the dog and not being able to see. How does this part work? Has anyone here done that - been able to see and then get a dog? Did that work or rather, what was hard about it.

It's really no problem at all. My dog circles me on leashe, then does his business. When he stops, line yourself up, grab a bag, put it over your hand, and now you're in business. Just watch for the landmines on your exit...

What happens when you are walking? Will they go while you are walking the guide dog?

Yeah, unfortunately that happens from time to time. My dog relieved himself inside Cosco once...that didn't make the management too happy, either.
I find that the best ways to deal with this problem is this:
-Make sure your dog gets plenty of opportunity to relieve himself before you go out. Sometimes it's best to have a play session with the dog first. That way, things get movin' south (if you know what I mean)
-keep the dog on a somewhat consistent relieving schedule
-Feed your dog twice a day--same amount, but just split the amount in two.
-Always carry extra bags with you in case the dog goes!
