Hi guys -- I'll be on vacation from August 16 to August 24. An Admin will be checking in every couple of days, but other than that, I'll see ya in a little over a week from now.
Also--I've gotten some feedback recently on this forum, and it looks like most people are into User Groups. (like the Yahoo User Groups) So when I get back I'm going to look into changing some things around here, so that we can get a few more people to join the forum or user group...and also POST here! :-)
Hello, All. I'm Chris Kuell, and I live in Danbury, Connecticut. This forum was sent to me by a friend, so I thought I'd check it out. I don't belong to any other forums, so I'm a little uncertain as how to proceed. I'll start with a little intro.
I'm 44, a type I diabetic since I was 9. Like John's story, I didn't take good care of myself growing up, or into my twenties, and I lost my sight in 1997 at age 35. It was fairly tramatic, but I'd say that I've recovered nicely. I am blessed with a wonderful wife and 2 great kids (ages 14 and 10) and have met dozens of blind people who have inspired me through the past few years. I'm pursuing a career as a writer, have had many articles published, and am currently polishing my first novel. I had a kidney transplant in 2002, and everything seems to be going fine there.
So, hello to all, and I look forward to meeting some new friends.
Hi Chris - hope you are doing good! It has been a while since I posted but I hope you had a good Thanksgiving and that the coming holidays are nice, too!
